In ancient times, obsidian was used to make art objects and mirrors, and Native Americans used it to make weapons and sculptures. To this day, obsidian is valued as a gem for the production of art objects. In particular, obsidian Snowflake is considered a protective stone to protect its wearers from false friends, incoming dangers, negative influences and black magic. Chemical composition: it is volcanic glass, white flakes are formed by the mineral cristobalite. The deposits are mainly in Western Utah, these deposits were formed 2.5 million years ago. It is formed during the rapid cooling of acid lava (eg in water).
